Meet – Connect – Grow
Meet local small business owners
At Business Action Networking our events are about getting to meet and share with local small business owners. We have launched in Penrith, so you’re likely to meet people from Penrith, Hawkesbury, lower Blue Mountains and Western Sydney. We intended to launch in Parramatta or Sydney later in 2020 based on demand and venues. However Covid-19 has seen us put everything on hold until 2021 due to other demands on our time and the complexities of running live events in 2020.
Connect with local small business owners
We help you to connect on a deeper level through a structured networking activity, and free networking at the end of the event when you’re feeling more comfortable. These connections allow us to do business with people we know, like and trust, but without pressure and referrals, which at times can feel forced.
Take action after the event
Following the event you can take action by implementing learnings (you will receive slides and/or a handout) from the educational piece, (yes we sit for parts of the events, but definitely stand for networking) and by meeting with people you connected with.
Grow your business starting locally
The outcome is we expect our local businesses to grow through the real connections formed, plus the access to great speakers and inspirational business owners who’ve already succeeded.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Our business networking
How do we differ from all the other networking options? Our intention is to have more contact between meetings (which does occur now in mums networking, but not so much in networking involving both men and women). We will have a public directory attached to this website (for a fee) and through our Facebook page and group for free.
Continue, stop and start business networking activities
Through attending many events we have focused on continuing what works (like ensuring introductions are made), and stopping what puts people off (like a lack of welcome, big fees and referral targets). We’re also adding new features like our popular Small Talk Prompts, to help novice networkers get involved and experienced networkers to connect on a deeper level.
About our Founder – Jane Tweedy
Jane Tweedy is the Founder of Business Action Networking and FAQ Business Training. Jane is passionate about helping small business owners succeed.
Meeting small business owners
Jane has been a Business Connect Advisor, funded by the NSW Government. In this role she’s met with over 1250 small business owners in Western Sydney (and more recently wider NSW through online meetings) in one on one meetings, many more through workshop training, plus more again attending and speaking at other networking groups.
The Business Action Networking business why
Through attending many events ourselves, but also hearing the feedback from the Business Connect clients, we think we’ve devised a great formula to ensure people meet, connect, take action and grow. It also complements Jane’s other business, FAQ Business Training, where she wants to educate and empower small business owners to avoid them getting ripped off, by teaching them enough to do it yourself (DIY) or outsource confidently.
If you’d like to be added to our mailing list, learn about our Facebook groups or even sponsor or speak at a future event, we’d love to hear from you.
